History of STAAD.Pro
The structural analysis and design programme STAAD.Pro Software is popular among civil engineers. Research Engineers International created this programme in 1997 in Yorba Linda, California.
Later, in 2005, they sold this to Bentley Systems, now marketing and promoting it locally and internationally using local distributors.
An older version known as STAAD-III can be used on Windows for Civil & Structural Engineers. Iowa State University first utilised it only for structural and civil engineering education.
Today’s commercial STAAD.Pro edition is popular for Structural Analysis and Design software packages worldwide. This programme supports most design codes of practice for steel, concrete, and timber. This tool can be used to create and analyse any form of building.
Users may execute a variety of analyses, such as the standard 1st order static analysis, p-delta analysis, pushover analysis, buckling analysis, and non-linear geometric analysis.
STAAD.Pro can also be used to perform several types of dynamic analysis, such as modal extraction, time history analysis, and response spectrum analysis. The vast scale of the structure being monitored has made all of the tasks above much simpler and quicker.
